Manta Recommendation: Happy Twogether #ad

After a series of events brings them into each other's paths, Seungmin gives Jaeyoung the chance of a lifetime: to collaborate on a song together.

Review

I was extremely excited for the release of this title, and I'm happy to say that it does not disappoint. One of the biggest highlights for me is the art style, which is all done by the writer Nalpari Hunter. As a lover of color symbolism, I couldn't help but notice her use of cool, contrasting tones and the way color indicates the subtle shifts in atmosphere and overall mood of the scene. The art style itself is also highly detailed in its line-work and shading, which I find very refreshing. This extra attention to detail is a real standout amongst the more standard artwork from other BL comics I've read recently, and the visual feast is much appreciated.

As an avid lover of media that dives into K-pop music entertainment industry, this idol x rapper romance is right up my alley. Even when we don't fully know Seungmin's intentions, his insistence on creating the space for Jaeyoung to find his voice again pulls at the reader's heartstrings. Jaeyoung is deeply affected by the downfall of his group and struggles with photosensitive epileptic seizures, which makes Seungmin's gentleness towards him even more heartwarming. So far, I'm really enjoying the pacing of their romance. It isn't rushed, which I appreciate, but it isn't an extreme slow burn either. Rather, it's enticing and steady in a way that remains captivating.
